What is confirmed about the weapon armory?
The official Steam store metadata advertises an arsenal of 75+ weapons. It names Boltgun, Astartes Chainsword, and Whirlwind Axes as examples, then calls Nuln Oil an easter egg. That is useful evidence for the published names and the advertised scope, but it is not a complete armory index or a release-build inspection.
Checked on October 9, 2026 (Asia/Shanghai), this page keeps Demo observations and store copy separate from the November 10, 2026 release announcement. The August 5 official Status Effects feature focus confirms that Nuln Oil applies Oiled, increasing damage from weapons that inflict fire damage. This is a pre-release feature demonstration, not a complete stat sheet.
Original informational diagram, not gameplay footage: it explains the difference between an advertised total and a verified armory record.
Source-backed weapons and named entries
The table does not treat every named item as a confirmed base weapon. Example means a source example or easter egg; evolution source and evolved are Auroch relationship labels. Base slot, unlock, and balance remain open unless stated.
| Name | Type label | Source | Known now | Still to verify |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Boltgun | Example; base unconfirmed | Steam metadata | Named in the 75+ arsenal | In-game role, stats, unlock, evolution |
| Astartes Chainsword | Example; base unconfirmed | Steam metadata | Named in the 75+ arsenal | In-game role, stats, unlock, evolution |
| Whirlwind Axes | Example; base unconfirmed | Steam metadata | Named in the 75+ arsenal | In-game role, stats, unlock, evolution |
| Nuln Oil | Named weapon; base unconfirmed | Steam metadata; Status Effects focus | Steam calls it a humble pot/easter egg; Oiled increases damage from fire-damage weapons | Base slot, values, unlock, recipe, and upgrade path |
| Power Fists | Evolution source | Auroch announcement | Said to evolve into Gauntlets of Ultramar | Required passive, level, trigger, cost, and release-build behavior |
| Gauntlets of Ultramar | Evolved | Auroch announcement | Named as the result of Power Fists; Calgar joins that attack | Recipe details, unlock, stats, and whether the relationship changed |
| Whirlwind Battery | Evolution source | Auroch announcement | Said to evolve into Orbital Bombardment | Required passive, level, trigger, cost, and release-build behavior |
| Orbital Bombardment | Evolved | Auroch announcement | Named as an evolution of Whirlwind Battery | Recipe details, unlock, stats, and release-build behavior |
| D6 Dice | Named weapon; base unconfirmed | Auroch announcement | Described as usable by both universes | Role, stats, unlock, evolution, and platform/build scope |
| Frag Grenade | Confirmed base weapon | Feature Focus: Pick-ups | Official post calls it a grenade pick-up and The Legend of Catachan’s base weapon | Damage, cooldown, unlock, evolution, and full release behavior |
The table is intentionally shorter than the advertised total. Add entries only when a current source identifies the exact name and context. The official Frag Grenade entry is tied to the Legend of Catachan in the Feature Focus: Pick-ups post; it does not make every grenade pick-up a base weapon. Demo discussion names are not automatic spelling corrections.
Original informational diagram, not gameplay footage: it visualizes two announced relationships without inventing ingredients or triggers.
What is known about weapons and evolutions?
The Auroch announcement says that evolving Power Fists brings Marneus Calgar as a companion, with Calgar wielding the Gauntlets of Ultramar. It also says Orbital Bombardment is an evolution of Whirlwind Battery. Those statements confirm named relationships, not a full recipe system. They do not establish which passive, level, chest, timing, cost, or character requirement is needed.
The evolution chart keeps historical Steam Demo ingredient leads separate; they have zero independent checks and conflicting names. The Demo guide explains why a May observation cannot become an October or release rule. The status effects guide explains wider interactions; this page records only the official Nuln Oil relationship. No best tier, damage comparison, or guaranteed build path is claimed before release-build records exist.
Original informational diagram, not gameplay footage: it is a record-keeping checklist rather than a screenshot or gameplay claim.
How should this armory page grow?
After release, each new row should carry the exact in-game name, build and platform, observation date, source or repeatable test, and a clear status. Add recipes only when the ingredients and trigger are observed more than once. Add rankings only after comparable runs explain the setup, trade-offs, and patch context. The characters roster can then connect weapon relationships to named heroes without turning a companion mention into a character tier.
For the wider source map, use the wiki hub. It links this page to the roster, evolution, Demo, and release guides while preserving the difference between announced content, historical Demo leads, and observed release data.
