FAQ

Where was the new Demo announced?
The October 6 announcement describes the new Demo on Steam and Xbox PC. It does not establish a console or mobile Demo, so do not infer access from the announced full-release platforms.
When did the first Demo release?
Steam's official Demo metadata records the original Demo release as May 21, 2026. That build is historical and should be labelled separately from the October Demo.
How many heroes does the new Demo have?
The official Warhammer Community Demo article says the new Demo has two heroes. This does not establish the complete full-game roster or a release-build ranking.
Does Demo progress transfer to the full game?
No. The Auroch release announcement says progress from the previous Demo does not carry into the new Demo, and progress from either Demo does not transfer to the full game.

What Demo access is officially supported?

The October announcement describes a new Demo available on Steam and Xbox PC. The official Steam Demo listing and Warhammer Community announcement are the direct Steam and announcement references. The article says the new Demo has two heroes. Steam’s product metadata describes the Steam listing as Windows-only, so the safest current wording is Steam on Windows plus the announced Xbox PC access.

The full release has a wider announced platform list, but that does not turn into Demo access automatically. Available official sources do not confirm a console Demo, an iOS Demo, or an Android Demo. A search suggestion or a store page for the future full game is not evidence that the current Demo can be installed there. Use the release-date and platforms guide for the separate launch announcement.

How are the May and October Demos different?

The Steam Demo metadata records the original Demo release as May 21, 2026. The official first Demo announcement described Malum Caedo on Imperial Bastion against Tyranids and Neave Blacktalon on Great Parch against Skaven. These are historical observations from that Demo context.

The new Demo was announced for October 6, 2026 and is described as having two heroes. The October release material names Legend of Catachan and Lyssa, while retaining the two official spellings of Lyssa for editorial accuracy. Do not merge the May and October observations into one “current” build, and do not treat either pair of heroes as proof of the complete release roster.

How should a Demo observation be recorded?

A useful Demo note is a dated record, not a confident tier verdict. Before a run, write down the platform, Demo context, starting hero, and date. During the run, preserve the exact item names shown on screen and note the stage or mode. After the run, separate what was directly observed from what came from a discussion post.

This matters because the accessible Steam discussions contain conflicting names and evolution claims. The evolution chart keeps those ingredient pairs in a clearly separated historical research table. They are unverified leads with no independent checks, not recipes to follow in the October Demo or the full game.

Does Demo progress transfer to launch?

No. The Auroch release announcement says progress from the previous Demo does not carry into the new Demo, and the official Steam announcement confirms that progress from either Demo does not transfer to the full game. That rule should be shown beside any Demo guide or historical build note, because it prevents a player from treating Demo progress as a launch unlock path.

The mobile guide covers the separate iOS and Android launch announcement, and the wiki hub lists the pages with cited sources available before release. No page here claims a complete recipe list, unlock tracker, or hands-on tier list while the release build remains untested.

Where can I read the official mechanic previews?

The weapons and armory index gathers officially named examples. Three separate video guides explain faction traits, enemy skills, and status effects. These August and September feature previews supply recognition cues, not independently tested October Demo recipes or balance values.
